Your words, your choice
Saved text is stored in your account’s cloud history. Cloud speech sends microphone audio directly to ElevenLabs; this app’s backend receives text and keeps the provider key private. Audio is not saved to cloud history. Unfinished drafts and stopped audio stay in this browser until saved or cleared. Turning off history keeps new recording recovery in memory only. Other connected devices can see live words; they never copy to a clipboard automatically.
Keep the screen open and unlocked. iOS and Android can interrupt background capture. The browser companion offers copy and download on any laptop; system-wide insertion remains a native-app feature. Deleting history removes it from the live database; encrypted operational backups may retain it for up to 35 days.
Hosted latency has not been measured. The sub-100 ms extra-delay target is not certified.
